A "Family Style" email with lots of pictures of Pee Paw, our NC Vacation, Nathan, Sam, Emily and Baby Kitty. There's only one project mention in this email but descriptions of the fun things that we've been doing over the last 12 months.
Lots of people have been asking what has been going on with Chris and Hartwell AVD over the last few months. We haven’t posted anything on the web site recently and that might tend to imply that not much has been going on. Of course, that’s about as far from the truth as possible!
For the last two years I’ve had the pleasure of programming the media system for the Chevy Stage at the Texas State Fair. But boy, do they look forward to it!
Hey everybody. I'm back in Orlando now and resting up over the Memorial Day weekend at my parent's condo in Daytona Beach. The weather has been very nice, the beach is enjoyable and the temperature is WARM. I've waited for months for this and finally I have to deal with sunburns, Jeep tops and deodorant instead of jackets, rain boots and long underwear. Thank God!
Most of my family, friends and acquaintances know what I do for a living - I put computer controlled audio / video systems into special venue installations... Museums, Theme Parks, Theaters, Churches; you get it. Most people who know what I do and have watched me work have commented that I've been given a special gift and a talent for this kind of work.
Most of you know that I've been working at the latest museum built by the Smithsonian Institute, The National Museum for the American Indian (NMAI.) What you might not know is that both my boys' teachers got wind of what I was working on, what I did for the museum and other tidbits of what I do for a living in general. Based on this, I was "Invited" to come and speak to the classes about my career.
